UMI’s 3056 adjustable upper a-arms are designed to excel in
Pro-Touring, road race, auto-x and hot street corner carving. The race
quality rod ends provide shim-free camber and caster adjustment along
with ultimate smooth travel. This arm features a relocated ball joint
pad to increase caster and improve stability and steering feel as well
as a shortened cross shaft to ball joint distance. On Turbo Buicks,
helps with troublesome heat issue from downpipes.
These solve the issue of using excessive shims to achieve your front
end alignment. Easy to adjust! With weight on the tires or a
jack under the lower control arm, you loosen the lock nut on one rod end
and then remove the bolt that holds it to the cross shaft. Screw
in or out to get your adjustment and reinstall cross shaft bolt and
tighten rod lock nut. Then do the same to the other end. I just
installed these on TR Custom Parts GN with drop spindles and used the
1/2" taller ball joints.
