This is a "BILLET
ALUMINUM THROTTLE BODY VACUUM BLOCK" for
a 1986 or 1987 Buick Grand National, T
Type, Turbo T, or GNX 3.8 liter turbo
V6. This item replaces the stock cheap plastic
piece.
When my supplier first
showed these to me I wasn't really thrilled with them
BUT, now that I have seen them mounted they actually
make a lot of sense! You now have 6 ports to
plumb your vacuum lines how you want them. Of
course with the extra port over the stock one you can
run one line to your vacuum brakes if you have converted
from the troublesome Powermaster setup
Another benefit is you
lose 5 potential areas for a vacuum leak. No more
short lengths of rubber hose that connect to the metal
lines used in the stock configuration. You can run
a line from the driver's side of the block right to your
fuel regulator and use the remaining port on that side
for the EGR, then you only have one line to run under
the throttle body if needed. No longer will you
have to struggle to connect the bracket under the
throttle body. You can always add different
fittings as needed as shown in the pictures of one
installed..
Our Vacuum block comes
complete 2 stud bolts, and
a gasket. This item is made in the U.S.A. and has a
billet machine finish to it.
We have
decided to just sell these WITHOUT any of the
fittings, Since everyone has a different was of
plumbing things up it is easier for us if we sell it
this way. For PVC or vacuum brake connections you
can drill out the port yourself or we can have it done
if requested when ordering.
