DASH PANEL OVERLAYS
SIMULATED ALUMINUM
Effective immediately, we will no
longer offer clear-anodized aluminum. In it's place we will offer an
imitation brushed aluminum/plastic material. It's very similar in appearance to
clear anodized aluminum, and all engraving will be a high-contrast black.
Reasons for the change include: clear anodized aluminum is getting VERY
expensive, it's difficult to work with, is sometimes inconsistent in appearance,
and must be hand painted if black engraving is desired. We've been making
Oldsmobile dashboard and other items for quite some time using the
imitation aluminum with good results and reviews.
Above are some pics of the SIMULATED aluminum dash kit as installed in my personal
GN and some close up pics of the overlays before they are installed.
Please note! These pics are taken with the protective plastic on the
parts. It is to be removed before installation. That is why the
edges look jagged. All the factory pinstriping
and lettering for switch functions are engraved for a
different look for your interior. Matches our console plate kit, radio area
plate and glovebox
plates perfectly.

The OEM panels above faithfully duplicate the finish of your stock dash parts. Replace all or
individual panels as needed. You can also add custom engravings like the left
and middle photos above. The photo on the right still has the protective plastic
covering on it. Once peeled off the factory gloss finish is seen. |
