We have designed a new Polyurethane Transmission Mounts for the
'84-'87 Buick Turbo Regals for 2 different applications.
Both are the offset OEM style bolt-in application for use with the stock
cross-member. This design effectively controls transmission
torque better than stock units, especially in high-performance
applications. They also maintain proper drive shaft angle, which
increases efficiency and reduces stress on U-Joints.

They are designed for daily driving and for
extreme racing conditions, without having to change the stock
cross-member. They are soft enough to absorb vibrations for
street use, yet rugged enough for racing. These mounts also have
a unique, metal safety locking feature, effectively controlling
torque. This feature delivers the extra strength to resist problematic
torque forces. Unfortunately, GM used a rubber version of this mount
without any kind of safety locking feature. The interlocking
feature of the mount gives you that added confidence against drive
train and chassis/frame damage.

All hardware, offset plate, shim, and metal
components on the mount are plated for rust prevention and appearance.
 One
modification is necessary if using the stock exhaust hanger with this
new Poly trans mount. There is a section of the hanger that will
need to be cut/ground away (shown below) to fit correctly. This
is a very easy modification, and does not significantly effect the
hanger's strength. If no hanger is used, then the supplied
spacer plate is to be used. Instructions for installation and
for modifying the stock hanger are included with each mount.
